The role
As a Handy Person, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Each day, you’ll be involved in planned and emergency maintenance at the Royal School of Military Engineering Estate (RSME), making sure everything is in good working order and meets required standards.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be be working on a variety of maintenance tasks, including installations, repairs, and general upkeep of the site.

 

  • Carry out general maintenance tasks. 

  • Jobs include painting, fixing walls, clearing gutters, reading meters, and checking water systems.

  • Install, test, service, and repair equipment as part of routine maintenance.

  • Make sure all work is done safely, properly, and on time.

  • Build positive working relationships

 

This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Minley. You will have an on call rota post 6 months working within the role. 

 

Essential experience of Handy Person 

  • Experience in general maintenance, repair work, or a similar multi-trade role. 

  • Ability to work with tools and equipment safely

 

Qualifications for the Handy Person 

  • Driving licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
