The role
As a General Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of a hands-on team working mostly outdoors to support military training activities. The job is active, practical, and varied - no two days that are the same. You’ll work closely with your team to make sure the site runs smoothly and the training areas are set up and ready to go.
You’ll be given all the training you need, with the chance to pick up new skills and develop. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and being part of a supportive team.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

Support training activities by setting up and packing away equipment, carrying out tasks like lifting, moving, and placing kit.

Help with general duties across the site such as snow and ice clearance, storage, and moving equipment.

Carry out basic maintenance and checks on tools and kit (training provided).

Work as part of a team to follow instructions and complete daily tasks.

Make sure all work is done safely and responsibly.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full time and based onsite at Minley.
Essential experience of the General Operative:

Able to carry out physical tasks and be on your feet throughout the day.

Good at working with others and following clear instructions.

Must be able to swim due to the nature of the role
Qualifications for the General Operative:

Driving licence suitable for use within the UK
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
