The role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a great opportunity to play a senior role in a design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the Principal Engineer and Design team, maturing system architecture, interface definition/design and producing contract engineering deliverables as well as:

• Managing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions and creating optimally compliant architectures and solutions in response to customer requirements, from concepts through to in life support
• Leading the development, building, testing and trialling of solutions
• Contributing to the creation of high quality design documentation and requirements analysis
• Participating in validation, verification, test and acceptance activities

This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites within the UK and overseas, as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with four days in the office/onsite and one day working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer

• Experience with complex systems integration
• Interface management; production of Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Interface Design Descriptions  (IDD)
• Systems software and hardware integration experience
• Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working
• Experience with requirements capture, management, and verification and validation 

Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer

• Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
• HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed
• Incorporated/Chartered Engineer or working towards

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
