The Senior Quality Engineer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The difference our new Senior Quality Engineer will make


As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support the delivery of one of our most important contracts on time, to the right quality and to the planned cost. You’ll be part of a Project Quality team that sits within the Programme Delivery team.

 

Day to day, you’ll represent the customer’s interests and help to maintain the open and collaborative relationship we have and speak regularly with the customer quality representative. You’ll provide quality input and advice through the product lifecycle and identify quality risk and work to mitigate, manage and escalate to programme leadership. You’ll also participate in the non-conformance process, driving root cause analysis and prevention where appropriate and oversee progress and sign-off on completion of the delivery process to give the customer assurance their requirements have been met.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home. You must be willing to travel to Tewkesbury and Plymouth as and when required to meet business needs.

 

Essential experience

 

•    ONC, HNC or NVQ Level 3 qualification in a quality, science, engineering discipline
•    ISO 9001 auditor
•    Strong attention to detail with the ability to review technical documentation
•    Self-motivated, and can work within a group or individually
•    Ability to understand engineering drawings, procedures and specifications of all disciplines
•    You must have SC clearance and have the ability to obtain DV clearance
