The role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be key in leading junior members of the team in delivering the data exploitation capability in delivering data warehouses that will be used for the current and future class of submarines.

Day to day, you’ll work with customers across the defence sector in building solutions that deliver insight and contribute to better operational decisions. Your role will cover all aspects of data engineering and data architecture and you’ll assist with the design and delivery of all initiatives through our Data Exploitation Campaign.

• Investigating new data sources 
• Data modelling 
• Making design decisions as to how the data warehouse operates 

Essential experience of the Senior Data Engineer,

• Experience building data warehouses
• Knowledge of Microsoft BI stack 
• Ability to lead a team

This is a hybrid role - Most of the team are on site around 2 days per week but there is flexibility to work from home when you need to.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
