The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support the Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager / Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in the day-to-day Quality support of the Production Facilities, ensuring delivered product meets the customer requirements for Quality, Cost and On Time Delivery.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support the activities of the Quality team, ensuring production and customer requirements are maintained by supporting Production. Conducting audits and driving corrective and preventative action.  

  • Undertake internal surveillance and spot audits on the production facility to ensure compliant product and compliance with our Building Management System (BMS) system.  
  • Identification and control of Non-conformance from Containment to preventative action including trend monitoring, conducting/supporting investigations and working closely with the supply chain quality team to prevent supplier escapes into the business.
  • Formally review and approve activities, work or documentation, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory, policy and procedural obligations. Including documentation pack sign off and product verification.
  • Monitor performance against departmental or organisational goals and use appropriate tools and techniques to drive improvement.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

 

Essential Experience of the Quality Engineer

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Report, Procedure writing skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce trend charts to aid Lean Activity. 
  • Knowledge of workshop protocols.
  • Good understanding of IT office systems (word, excel, outlook, power point).

 

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or Engineering based apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
