The role
As a Project Procurement Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In a complex and challenging landscape, our supply chain function continues to play an integral role in enabling and delivering the various programmes, whilst maximising value and minimising risk.

 

Day to day, you’ll support the successful delivery of supply chain outcomes by providing expertise into all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from pre-contract and mobilisation activities through to execution and through-life support.

 

  • Tendering – running large, complex tenders with our supply chain partners within a highly-regulated environment. Must be comfortable working with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Security Aspects Letters (SALs) and negotiating Terms and Conditions.
  • Sub-contract management 
  • Stakeholder management – meeting regularly with stakeholders from the project teams including; programme management, technical, commercial, finance etc.
  • Risk management – identifying, capturing, managing and mitigating risk through supply chain design.
  • Change – experience managing change and onboarding new systems and technologies to drive efficiencies within the function and supply chain

 

This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based on site at Babcock Technology Centre 2 days per week with hybrid working from home arrangements. There is a requirement to travel to Plymouth occasionally as part of the role.

 

Essential experience of the Project Procurement Specialist:

  • Preferable experience within a highly regulated environment – e.g. Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear
  • Experience managing complex sub-contracts
  • Experience within Engineering / Professional Services 

 

Qualifications for the Project Procurement Specialist:

  • MCIPS (or working towards)

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
