The difference our new Project Manager will make

 

The role advertised is Project Manager position within the International Submarines & Support team.  Within the team we provide submarine weapons handling and launch system, products, and services, to several international customers including with Spain, Canada, South Korea and Australia.

 

We span the whole product lifecycle from design and manufacture of equipment for new build submarine programmes to through life support of our systems to maximise availability for the end user. 

 

As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team and to take accountability for critical business requirements from day one.

 

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the definition, planning, monitoring and control of successful project delivery. You will manage customer interfaces and associated stakeholders.  You will identify and monitor project risks then plan and implement effective responses.

 

You’ll be accountable for planning and monitoring the project, submission of regular monthly performance reports indicating any deviations, corrective action taken and escalation of issue.

Essential experience

 

•    PMQ or PPQ (desirable) or equivalent 
•    Team Management experience
•    Knowledge of project controls tools and how these tools operate to provide key information for decision making  
•    Commercially and financially astute
