The role
As a Project Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be working in a diverse role delivering complex submarine sustainment programmes to ensure the Royal Navy submarines go to sea safety by supporting them from the UK and around.

Day-to-day, you’ll be reporting into the Senior Project Manager taking project responsibility for scoping, enablement and delivery of planning and engineering activities for functional staff support. You will:

• Take ownership of bid deliverables and progress them through our internal approvals process (Technical, Commercial and Finance)
• Act as a focal point within the business to our MoD customer 
• Provide operational and strategic management of assigned tasks and service provisions
• Support the development of an enhanced end to end service offering for capability insertion and design change implementation
• Ensure that effective change management is applied to projects, balancing flexibility to changing customer requirements with the need for robust commercial agreements.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Project Lead 

• Experience in of Project Management techniques in a technical project environment
• Experience delivering solutions with a diverse team of both internal resource teams and external supply chain
• Direct line management experience as well as leadership in a matrix environment
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management
• Ability to present technical and business related information in a concise and coherent manner.
