The role
As a Principal Logistics Support Analysis Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll have the opportunity to work on one of the most high-profile complex engineering projects in the UK supporting naval programmes while proactively improving our capabilities.
Day-to-day, you’ll be providing expertise and guidance to the customer on how to capture data required to drive the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) specifically for Dreadnought class of Submarine.
- Carrying out or supporting technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment or resolution for design of improvements.
- Production, review, and approval of calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned.
- Evaluating technical issues in order to develop proposals for investigations and/or solutions, including process improvements.
- Providing help and direction to team members with reference to your experience; steering/ supporting continuous improvement activity
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Principal Logistics Support Analysis Engineer
- Experience of logistics support analysis within the submarine enterprise is essential
- Experience of working with LSAR (Logistics Support Analysis Repository)
- Ability to influence key decision maker within the Submarine enterprise.
- Experience of working with the MoD
Qualifications for the Principal Logistics Support Analysis Engineer
- Degree level qualified in a STEM discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, System, Data or Maths). Experience in lieu of formal education would be considered.
