Here are Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Plater.


Your main tasks will include:

  • Plating/Fabrication of large high strength, quenched and tempered Steel assemblies for the defence industry.
  • Fabrication of assemblies used for lifting and handling in the defence industry.
  • Experience of flame cutting/profiling, rolling, press brake.
  • Fabrication from design drawing and CAD modelling.


What do I need to do the job?


You must be time served apprenticeship or similar in welding/fabrication


We would also like you to have experience in the following:


  • Working to high quality standards.
  • Capable of reading complex fabrication drawings.
  • CAD experience desirable.
  • Experience of fabrication/plating in the defence industry is desirable.
  • Lifting and Slinging experience and trained.
  • Used to working to tight deadlines.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Experienced working safely within health and safety boundaries.
  • Team player who can work in a close knit team.
