The role
As a Engineering Training Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responsible to the Global Engineering Capability Lead (People) for delivery of an engineering framework that provides training to support the engineering competencies of our people.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to deliver and support activity through applicable working groups, which have been established to enable Babcock to optimise group wide Engineering capability across the pillars of people, processes and tools. You will be expected to ensure allocated projects, initiatives and activities have the required level of focus and to enable an environment where actions are committed to and delivered.

 

  • Delivery of a training framework for engineers that is linked to the engineering competency framework. 
  • Management and sustainment of a training framework to allow all engineers to access and request training materials.
  • Training materials and courses could be internally developed or from external third parties. Selection of the best training methodology and training provider to be done in collaboration with the discipline subject matter experts
  • Recording and keeping summary of the competencies of our engineers and providing data on where gaps and limited SQEP are to allow targeting of training interventions. 
  • Collaboration with the HR skills team on selection and management of training courses using the SuccessFactors LCMS system.
  • Champion of engineering excellence both within Babcock and with our client and stakeholder communities

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with travel being required.

 

Essential experience of the Engineering Training Coordinator

  • Successful candidate will have an understanding of engineering
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Motivation and desire to support a brand-new programme within engineering

 

Qualifications for the Engineering Training Coordinator

  • Bachelor of Engineering of appropriate Professional Institute or suitable qualification in HR or Training

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service + Security Check (EDBSSC) security clearance for this role.
