The Role

As a Commercial Officer, you will have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You could play a key role in the delivery of a range of critical projects across our various business sectors, supporting key customers in industries which include defence, marine, civil nuclear, emergency services and private sector training. 


Due to continuous growth, we are looking for multiple Commercial Officers, at various levels, to include:


  • Commercial Support Officer
  • Commercial Officer 
  • Senior Commercial Officer
  • Commercial Specialist


Day to day, you will be responsible for commercial support to the business, involving management of commercial and contractual aspects with customers, and ensuring compliance within internal corporate governance and approvals, all of which are integral towards driving commercial performance of various contracts tied to numerous exciting projects across the business:

  • Support the budget management process
  • Assist in drafting standard contractual documents
  • Provide input and guidance to the commercial elements of bids and proposals for new projects of work.  


Essential experience of the Commercial Officer

  • Proven track record of assisting with the delivery of robust commercial management on contracts and bids 
  • Commercial management of large-scale projects
  • Experience in providing commercial specialist input into bids and contracts
  • Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships, including the ability to negotiate commercial terms 


These rare full-time, permanent positions and can be delivered from multiple sites, across the UK, alongside home working arrangements.

Qualifications for the Commercial Officer

  • Preferably educated to degree level ideally a Law degree (e.g. LLB, LLM, etc.) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience 
  • Any relevant Commercial qualification (e.g. IAMCC, WCC, etc.) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience  


The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate level of security clearance.
