The role
As an Application Support Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provide 1st and 2nd level software support primarily for the Maritime Collaborative Work Environment and associated applications based in Bristol. 
 
Day to day, you’ll carry out incident management (receipt, diagnosis and subsequent fixing of faults) as well as the following:

 

  • Problem management (providing workarounds for users and undertaking root cause analysis)
  • Contributing to the provision of service management reporting requirements
  • New account set up, password resets and licence management
  • Database manipulation (includes updates, inserts, queries and scripting) on both Oracle and SQL and configuration of new and existing Oracle WebCenter communities.

 
This role is full time, 35 hours - shifts within 7am – 7pm and is based on site at Babcock Technology Centre in Bristol Business Park, Stoke Gifford.

 

Essential experience of the Application Support Analyst

  • SQL / Oracle database knowledge
  • Familiar with Helpdesk software
  • Can use their own discretion in resolving problems within their domain

 
Qualifications for the Application Support Analyst

  • A recent IT graduate or Application Support Analyst with demonstrable experience.

 
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
