The role

As a Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping high-value, complex opportunities across defence, aerospace and engineering. Working at the heart of our growth strategy, you will bring commercial discipline to bids, contracts and negotiations - ensuring we balance risk, protect margins and deliver long-term value.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Leading commercial input for bids, proposals, tenders and subcontracting arrangements
• Developing pricing models, commercial assumptions and scenario analysis to support robust decision-making
• Reviewing contracts and procurement documents to identify risk, margin exposure and commercial opportunities
• Coordinating with business development, finance, legal and delivery teams to ensure aligned and compliant commercial strategies
• Supporting negotiations with customers, suppliers and partners to secure favourable commercial outcomes

This role is based on site at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Essential experience of the Commercial Manager

• Demonstrable experience in commercial management, contracts, bid management or procurement within complex environments
• Strong understanding of tendering processes, pricing strategies and contract risk management
• Proven ability to work across multi-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience within defence, engineering, infrastructure, energy or other project-based sectors
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively

Qualifications for the Commercial Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Engineering, Procurement or a related discipline
