About the role
The Australian Industry Capability Manager will be primarily responsible for implementing the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) plans executed under the JP9101 program, in accordance with the Program Director’s strategic direction and objective.
You will develop, manage and maintain all AIC processes, policies, systems and tools for delivery of the JP9101 program and ensure AIC objectives are under the contract are monitored, tracked and reported in accordance with agreed means and methods.
You will work closely with our supply chain teams to maximise the use and development of Australian suppliers and facilitate industry discussions with existing domestic and prospective foreign Supply Chain options to maximise use and development of Australian Industry.
Working in close collaboration with the Commonwealth, you will prepare and submit formal Australian Industry Capability reports and provide reporting on Australian Industry Involvement (AII in accordance with Contract deliverable requirements.
About you
The successful candidate will have previous experience in supply chain management and a detailed understanding of Australian Defence and the Government’s sovereign capability development and ideally possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in a business, project, or supply chain management, or other related field
- Extensive Australian Supply Chain management knowledge and experience
- Experience in working with complex commercial, Government and Defence contracts and procurement processes
- Proven experience building strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders
- Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes with a strong sense of urgency, setting high but achievable standards and meeting deadlines effectively
