The role
As a Driver you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Helping generate significant value by further enhancing the reputation of the Halton Transport Services Department


Day-to-day, you’ll be driving and insuring vehicle is fit for purpose, in maintenance and cleanliness, as well as:

 

  • Updating all documentation, before and after through standard checks and written documentation.
  • Report all defects in a time bound process.
  • Carry out all driving tasks as requested; this will include car driving for the senior stakeholders.


This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Halton

 

Essential experience of the Driver:

  • Experience of working with similar type vehicles.


Qualifications for the Driver:

  • Driver qualification licence card (Driver CPC
  • Have both LGV and PCV licences if possible.
  • Minimum licence cat C or CAT D

 

You'll need a current and valid Driving Licences:

  • Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) DVLA Licence category D and Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) DVLA Licence Category C
  • Digital tachograph card, with sound knowledge of Driver's Hours Regulation in accordance with EU Directive 561/2006

 

Training for the successful Candidate with the following:

  • Must have held a Cat B licence for 3 years, maximum 3 points and must be over the age of 21 years. 
  • Any training provided the candidate will be bonded over a two-year period.
  • Training must be completed with the candidate six months probationary period.


Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS + SC Clearance.
