The role
As a Barrack Stores Supplier, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the team are able to carry out the role to meet deadlines and support the existing team to prioritise relevant tasks, policies and procedures.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work within the Supply Barrack Stores and undertake the issue, receipt and storage of the logistics supply-chain in support of operations. You’ll ensure all health and safety standards and policies including risk assessments are adhered to in accordance with the Babcock Values, Standards and ways of working ‘Home Safe Every Day’.


•    Locate and manage all barrack stock holdings including unserviceable equipment through repair cycle in accordance with Defence and Logistic policies.
•    Assess serviceability of Barrack equipment in conjunction with the Team Leader.
•    Assist with any stock reconciliations by carrying out Stocktaking/Snap Check programmes within Stockholding Groups as required. 
•    This role will require you to work outside throughout the year.

 

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Halton

 

Essential experience of the Barrack Stores Supplier:
•    Previous experience in Supply Chain/Logistics in a military or equivalent civilian environment. (Desirable)
•    Familiar with MoD Logistics Procedures and documentation. (Desirable)
•    Computer literate
•    Can work on their own initiative.
•    Able to be flexible to accommodate changes in work practices.

 

Qualifications for the Barrack Stores Supplier:
•    Hold full current driving licence. (Essential)
