Babcock is looking for a Project Delivery Engineer to join the Engineering Change team based in Devonport, Auckland.

About the role

 

Join a team at the forefront of naval engineering excellence. As a Project Delivery Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Royal New Zealand Navy’s operational readiness. You’ll work alongside skilled engineers, subcontractors, and defence stakeholders to deliver complex upgrade projects that directly impact fleet capability. This is a hands-on role where your coordination, problem-solving, and technical insight will drive real-world outcomes.

You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong engineering or trade background. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Your communication skills are sharp, and you’re confident managing schedules, budgets, and technical documentation. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and compliance, and you’re ready to contribute to national defence capability. Key Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Washington Accord recognised)
  • Previous project management experience
  • Experience in contract cost control and budget reporting
