Babcock is looking for an Apprentice Painter/Industrial Coatings to join the Coatings team based in Devonport, Auckland.

Kick-start your career with an exciting Marine and Industrial Painting Apprenticeship. You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning specialist skills in surface preparation, protective coatings and industrial painting while completing a nationally recognised qualification. About you

 

You are motivated, reliable and eager to start a hands-on trade career. You enjoy practical work, take pride in doing things properly and are willing to learn from experienced mentors. You can follow instructions, work safely and contribute positively within a team environment. Whether you've completed a pre-trade course, gained labouring experience or simply enjoy working with tools, you're ready to develop your skills, embrace challenges and commit to becoming a qualified Marine and Industrial Painter.

Key Required Qualifications

 

  • Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence (or working towards).
  • NCEA Level 2 or equivalent secondary education.
  • Pre-Trade qualification in Construction, Engineering, Painting & Decorating, Automotive Refinishing or related field (advantageous but not essential).
  • Previous practical experience through labouring, warehousing, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, maintenance, volunteer projects or personal hands-on projects.
