About the role:

 

Reporting to our Design Engineer – Team Lead, you’ll form a key part of our Engineering Design Team under the Hāpai Taua Manuao (Maritime Fleet Sustainment Service) contract with the Royal New Zealand Navy.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deliver steps of the Engineering Change Process in a timely and efficient manner under the direction of your team lead.
  • Conduct Technical Investigations (which may become ECP’s).
  • Be capable of leading an ECP up to complexity 1 within the Engineers area of expertise with minimal supervision.
  • Produce detailed design / production drawings.
  • Produce high quality engineering reports (including DMDRA and N3 investigations).

 

About you:

 

  • Hold a relevant degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Have at least 1-2 years' relevant experience in relatable engineering roles
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary Design Office.
  • Proficient skills in CAD software packages – including 2D/3D modelling (Autodesk products desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience within the Defence/Defence Industry would be advantageous / highly regarded
