HSEQ Training Advisor

About the Role

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role will be key in supporting the design, delivery and facilitation of internal HSEQ training requirements. You will maintain and improve the Babcock HSEQ framework and ensure that regulatory, company and customer training competency requirements are met. Responsibilities could include:

 

  • Conduct training needs analysis for business unit roles and assist in the development of HSE training continuum based on operational risk exposure, internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with customers, contractors and sub-contractors to deliver mutually beneficial training based on the unique nature of operations and enhance industry partnerships.
  • Assist in the design, delivery and facilitate internal HSEQ training including development and maintenance of training plans and other training materials so that participants learning outcomes are achieve.
  • Act as a HSEQ Training Subject Matter Expert, providing advice, guidance and support on matters relating to HSEQ Training or Learning Development initiatives and programs.
     

About you
 

As an experienced HSEQ training advisor, you will be eager to demonstrate your excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a complex environment and pride yourself on your ability to manage conflicting priorities. You will work collaboratively, build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and possess the following:
 

  • NZQA Training and Assessment;
  • Lead Investigator Certification (ICAM or similar);
  • Experience in delivering NZQA Standards e.g. confined space, working at heights, hot works, safety watch and permit to work; 
  • Experience in design and delivery of HSE training using various training methods (LMS, on line, face to face) across all organisational levels;
  • Experience in the conduct of Training Needs Analysis and development of Training Matrices;
  • Fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination status.
     

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance.
