Babcock is looking for a Commercial Advisor to join the team based in Devonport, Auckland.

About the role

 

Join Babcock New Zealand as a Commercial Advisor and play an important role supporting commercial governance, procurement, compliance and contract administration activities. Working alongside experienced commercial leaders, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of services that support critical customer operations while helping maintain strong governance and business performance.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to expand their experience across contracts, tenders, compliance, procurement and risk management. You'll work with stakeholders across the business, drive continuous improvement initiatives and gain exposure to a broad range of commercial activities within a respected global organisation.

 

About you

 

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in commercial, procurement, legal administration or governance environments. You thrive on building strong stakeholder relationships, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance obligations are met. Comfortable managing competing priorities, you bring strong organisational skills, sound commercial judgement and a continuous improvement mindset. You enjoy solving problems, identifying efficiencies and supporting business outcomes while working collaboratively within a values-driven team that delivers high-quality results.

Key Required Qualifications

 

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Bachelor's Degree) in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a commercial, procurement, legal administration or related role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting governance, compliance, contract administration or procurement activities.
