About the role
As a Project Coordinator, you'll be at the centre of major naval maintenance and sustainment projects that directly support the operational readiness of the Royal New Zealand Navy. You’ll work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and RNZN representatives, gaining exposure to complex marine engineering environments while helping to drive project performance, solve delivery challenges, and keep critical assets on schedule. You communicate clearly with tradespeople, engineers, subcontractors, and Navy representatives, building trust quickly. You’re comfortable analysing schedules, costs, and documentation, and you’re proactive in identifying issues before they escalate. With a trade or technical background, strong coordination skills, and a genuine interest in marine or defence projects, you bring practical insight, reliability, and a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
