As the quantity of product flowing through our Ashchurch unit increases, we are looking for an eager and ambitious Logistics Manager to help account for the movement and shipment of material. As a Logistics Manager you will be a focal point for logistics management and ensure accurate accounts of materials ranging from parts and handheld radios to larger equipment such as workstations.


The difference our new Logistics Manager will make
As our new Logistics Manager you will become our go to person of materials going in and out the unit whilst supporting the day to day of customer demands.  You will liaise with the logistics provider and MoD agencies when appropriate, to ensure the supply of materials or equipment in a timely and effective manner. As a Logistics Manager you will be responsible for material receipts, packing, labelling, unpacking, and inspecting, raising discrepancies, providing feedback, and organising transport via MoD. You will be trained on and then responsible for updating our own system (IFS) and the MoD’s Imagery System (JAMES) and keeping these accurate and ensuring all material movements align with the paperwork. You will be responsible for achieving the availability, performance, savings, and targets relating to inventory availability and demand satisfaction and ensuring all work is carried out within the Contract and Company Operating Procedures.


Experience

  • You’ll ideally have a background in Logistics Management and Material Control.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is preferable, this role will include physical handling of materials.

  • Comfortable liaising with external customers and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make decisions.
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to collaborate and work in partnership with colleagues and customers.


What else do I need to know?
