Using your experience as a Quantity Surveyor you will assist the Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Department and project team on large scale power transmission schemes UK wide. You will be critical in assisting the provision of relevant information for preparation of reports and claims to agreed timescales. Also the role will entail ongoing implementation of the commercial application in respect of site personnel at all-time whilst developing lasting relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers. We are looking for a commercial minded professional who will liaise with the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor(s) to ensure appropriate commercial cover is maintained.

 

The initial project will be in support of the mega project HS2 including a highly complex transition of existing power infrastructure. As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK we also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You’ll need to have experience in a Quantity Surveying position and have experience within highly regulated projects i.e Rail, Infrastructure, Power, Construction etc.

 

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

 

  • Relevant qualification in Surveying
  • Understanding of contract law & contract costing
  • Experience of Sub Contract management
  • Driving licence
  • Ability to be flexible with working away
  •  

Lastly, you’ll need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills as you’ll work closely with the client and our internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.

 

 What else do I need to know?

 

  • The role will require frequent travel to Uxbridge, London in support of projects.
