Quantity Surveyor

Here at Babcock International we’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team based at Lancashire.

This role operates within the Power division of Babcock Networks. The team refurbish, repair and build new T&D equipment for the UK power network on behalf of clients such as National Grid & SSE. The primary purpose of the role is to act as the Contractor QS which encompasses subcontractor management, variations and CVR Reporting.

This is a great opportunity to take a varied role reporting to a Senior QS in a £60m t/o business working in an NEC Option 3 (Target Cost contract) for refurbishment of steelwork structures. There are 6 people in the total QS team.

What do I need to do the job?

You’ll need:

  • Experience operating as a contractor QS and overhead line experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Cost Value Reconciliation Reporting (CVR), Subcontractor Management and Variations experience are all required.
