About the role

 

Here at Babcock International, we’re looking to recruit a number of Linesworkers to join the team.

 

You will work within a working party (generally between 3 and 6 persons) to carry out specified tasks in the construction and refurbishment of overhead power transmission lines.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will be a level 3 qualified Linesworker on Overhead Power lines, and have previously operated in a supervisory role.

 

You will have proven experience of working on the refurbishment of 400kV, 275kV and 132kV overhead lines on steel lattice towers.

 

You will have a good understanding of the requirements of Health & Safety at work and personal safety.

 

You will also demonstrate competency in the operation of necessary OHL plant and machinery.

 

Willingness to work and live away from home, and a driving licence are essential.

 

What else do I need to know?

 

This role is based out of head office in Nottinghamshire however you will be permanently based on sites across the UK depending on project locations so you must be prepared to live away from home.

 

You will be required to work a 5 day week followed by a 7 day week so you will likely be working away from home for a period of 12 days in a 14 day period.
