About the role

 
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Service (Data) Analyst to support the GARDS data Analytics Lead, working as part of a small dedicated GARDS service team, to work with Army equipment data.


The GARDS team provides a vital decision support service to the Army, working closely with both the Army Headquarters Equipment Department, the Field Army, the Defence Equipment and Support organisation and the Babcock Inventory and Repair Management function to assess and mitigate Equipment  availability and Equipment Support Material.


Responsibilities will cover providing data analytics input into planning assessments, undertaking data / information analysis using the GARDS analytics tool, supporting the presentation of analytics output to key Army stakeholders, actively participating in Army workshops, applying creative thinking to develop practical solutions to issues and risks identified through analytics outputs and supporting the GARDS Service Lead to develop projects to grow the service into other WETS areas.


As core a member of the DSG team, the GARDS Service Analyst will also be expected to demonstrate a working understanding of data analytics within the land equipment domain. Typically leveraging recognised data analytics tools and experience, the Service Analyst will support delivery of the GARDS service to the quality, cost and time criteria, whilst meeting stakeholder expectations.
 
What do I need to do the role?
 
You will come from either a data analytical background or a software (coding) background, and be able to articulate working rationally and robustly whilst demonstrating inquisition and logic within your approach.
 
You will also have excellent experience of Excel
