About the Role
 

Bring your Trade Controls expertise to Babcock and become a vital member of our growing team! In this role, you will support the implementation of export control compliance across all key projects. You will ensure adherence to company export control policies and global regulations, focusing on the Customs Act 1901, Defence Trade Control Act 2012, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) Regulation.
 

You will be responsible for monitoring access controls for all export-controlled technology used by business units and maintaining detailed records of current U.S. Agreements involving Babcock companies. These records will be kept in a central repository that is regularly updated and readily accessible to all relevant parties.

To be successful, you will bring
 

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Australian, U.K. and U.S. export controls.
  • Exemplary communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tertiary education in a relevant field (law, engineering, etc.) (Desirable)
  • Previous experience within Defence or similar high-risk industry.
  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the  ability to obtain)
