About the role

Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, this role will hold responsibility for supporting the engineering and maintenance activities for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Ground Support Equipment (GSE) assets and associated repairable items. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining the technical integrity of changes made to maintenance regimes, parts and publications. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Delivering engineering and maintenance services;
  • Managing relationships with operating units, RAAF Mechanical Equipment, and Operational Maintenance Sections (MEOMS), Joint Logistics Command (JLC), and other Commonwealth Contractors;
  • Ensuring publications and maintenance policies are reflective of the current approved maintenance plans, schedules, maintenance venues and organised parts;
  • Preparing and submitting changes to technical records and publications, and data for approval; and
  • Monitoring and auditing maintenance for GSE conducted by external maintenance providers for new and pre-existing commonwealth contractors.

 

Ideally you will have
 

Ideally you will have prior experience within the Australian Defence Force (ADF), or within the defence industry, and possess the following:
 

  • Successful completion of a technical certificate;
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with professionals of all levels of seniority;
  • Prior experience working within a Systems Program Office (SPO) environment; and
  • Knowledge of MILIS and the MMM Module, desirable.
