Senior Facilities Manager (Defence)

About you
You will bring your combination of defence and facilities management background and passion for continuous improvement to this role where you will be overseeing the delivery of strategically important and meaningful work.

 

As you will lead and drive the shaping of our facilities management procedures for Defence locations, you will need to have extensive industry knowledge to be able to provide valuable insights during the review and analysis processes. 

 

The role
You will play a critical role in analysing and identifying business improvements for the facilities management of our defence related site locations. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive analysis of our current defence facilities, identifying significant cost-savings and developing frameworks that align with company and customer objectives and legislative requirements..

 

You will take the lead of FM project delivery with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives and identifying and implementing the latest technology and practices within defence facilities management. You will establish and maintain governance across locations, defining clear roles, systems, processes and procedures aligning to best practice. 

 

Whilst commencing with our Australian based facilities, we see this role evolving with the needs of the business and include New Zealand.

 

This is a newly created position, initially offered as a 12 month fixed term contract, based either in Adelaide or Perth.

 

To be successful you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
  • Extensive recent and relevant senior facilities management experience 
  • Comprehensive Defence industry experience delivery facilities projects
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in engineering / project or a related discipline
  • AIPM Certified Practicing Senior Project Manager (or agreement to attain in 12 months)
