About the Role
 

We’re on the hunt for our next dynamic Purchasing Officer to join our team following an internal transfer! In this pivotal role, you'll be the key player in supporting our Defence contracts through top-notch purchasing, administrative, and logistical expertise.
 

Your mission: to ensure our operations run smoothly by meeting both company and customer expectations. You'll manage and nurture client relationships, handle purchase orders within our and our clients' ERP systems and oversee the invoicing and payment processes.

Additionally, you'll play a critical role in accurate goods receipting, monitor key dates, and coordinate with suppliers to keep everything on track.

To be successful, you will bring:
 

  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain and/ or Logistics, or other applicable technical fields.
  • Strong Relationship Management Skills.
  • Computer literate and skilled in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, etc) and ERP.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory control in a Defence environment.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment.
