About the Role

Join our growing technology team and play a critical role in supporting the network infrastructure that enables Babcock's operations across Australia and the wider international business.

As a result of continued growth across the region, we are seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our collaborative IT team and help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing network services.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Team Leader, this role will be instrumental in maintaining, supporting and enhancing Babcock's enterprise network environment.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and optimising a broad range of technologies, including Core Networks, WAN, LAN, Firewalls, VoIP and Wireless infrastructure. Working closely with internal stakeholders, Solution Architects and external service providers, you'll help ensure our network environment remains resilient, secure and aligned to business needs.

You'll be involved in troubleshooting and resolving network issues, supporting infrastructure projects, managing supplier relationships, contributing to solution design, and driving best practice across our technology landscape. The role also offers the opportunity to work within a complex enterprise environment where continuous improvement, innovation and customer service are highly valued.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
• Experienced Networking professional, focused on delivering effective and efficient operational capability.
• Cisco CCNA & CCNP qualification.
• Strong Firewall background (preferably Cisco/Palo Alto/NetScaler).
• Hands-on experience with SASE and SSE technologies, driving secure and modern network solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud networking, including connectivity, security and optimisation.
