About the role
As the Domain Engineering Manager (DEM), you will play a crucial role in the strategic planning and developm,ent of the Australasian Aviation Domain. Your main focus will be on delivering technical inputs into upcoming bids and designing architectural solutions that meet customer needs. You will maintain a close working relatioship with the Aviation Operational Business Unit and the Strategic Campaign Director, providing expert guidance on emerging technologies, products and capabilities that will enhance business growth. Your work will focus heavily on improving regional safety performance, ensuring safe operations now and into the future. You will be responsible for delivering the Babcock Australasian Aviation Engineering Strategy , aliging it with the broader business strategy. In addition you will support the Senior Engineering Manager in ensuring governance, assurance, and engineering authority across all engineering and technical activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Your role will be intergral in maintaining product safety, functionality, and alignment with technical authority, as well as contributing to business development initatives within the aviation sector.
To be successful in this position you will bring;
- The ability the obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance as defined by AGSVA guidelines
- Relevent Enginering Degree (Recognised under the Washington Accord)
- Significant experience in an Aviation related technical role
- An understanding of CASA/DASA certification frameworks
