About the Role

Babcock’s Land division, a leader in delivering integrated asset management, mission-critical training, and engineering services for complex fleets and infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead – Land and Mission Systems to join our team in Canberra.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will drive growth in the Land & Mission Systems domain. Your work will involve research, analysis, and strategic customer engagement, all aligned with Babcock’s ambitious goals. Representing Babcock at the public events, you’ll play a key role in fostering meaningful connections with customers, industry leaders, and academia.
You’ll dive deep into the world of business development, crafting innovative strategies to seize new opportunities while strengthening internal collaboration across our teams. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying future prospects, ensuring they align with Babcock’s mission, and play a hands-on role throughout the business winning lifecycle. From shaping solutions to supporting tender development, governance reviews, and contract negotiations, your impact will be far-reaching.

To be successful, you will bring
- Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance.
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline, business, commercial, legal and/or project management.
- Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge in the Land domain.
- Capture Management Process and Delivery experience.
- Familiarity with Army procurement.
- Experience working on complex Defence Bids.
- No restrictions to access For Official Use Only (FOUO) level or ITAR controlled material.
