  • Enhancing our Defence High Frequency Communications capability to extend beyond the United Kingdom, and New Zealand into the Australian market.


About the Role

As an integral member of our defence team, you will lead the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) endeavours for key defence programs for Australia. Reporting into the Commercial and Procurement Manager, you lead strategic development of the AIC Program, and hold responsibility for:


  • Confirm AIC Plans developed during capture and mobilisation phases of the contract;
  • Facilitate industry discussions with existing domestic and prospective foreign Supply Chain options to maximise use and development of Australian Industry;
  • Engage education providers such as Universities and TAFEs to support development of industry and Australian workforce skills;
  • Engage with Government agencies at all levels to facilitate information exchanges to support our AIC aims and access available support;
  • Establish sovereign support capability and support local workforce training and development; and
  • Work with our supply chain teams to maximises the use and development of Australian suppliers.



About You

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in supply chain management, or Australian industry capability development, and ideally possess the following:



  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management, project management, business, or related discipline;
  • A detailed understanding of Australian Defence and the Government’s sovereign industry capability and AIC other policies;
  • Extensive Australian Supply Chain management knowledge and experience; and
  • Experience and knowledge of best practice activities in dealing with suppliers.
