About the Role
Join Babcock Australasia and be part of a team that keeps our business moving. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to take on a full‑time, permanent role based at our Adelaide CBD Head Office, reporting directly to our Accounts Payable Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork really matter. You’ll be at the heart of our finance operations, ensuring invoices are processed smoothly, supplier data is managed with care, and payments are delivered on time. From reconciling statements to resolving queries, you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and supporting the wider finance function.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes pride in their work, and communicates clearly and confidently. You’ll need to be organised, able to plan your day effectively, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable Processing - Accurate entry, review and reconciliation of supplier invoices
- Supplier Masterfile Management - Maintain up‑to‑date and compliant supplier data
- Payment Cycle Coordination - Prepare and process weekly supplier payments
- Query Resolution - Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Statement Reconciliations - Ensure supplier accounts are accurate and up to date
- Support broader finance activities as required
To be successful, you will bring:
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience with electronic accounting systems and MS Office products.
- Experience with IFS, and Pagero (highly desirable).
- Clear and effective communication skills.
