Systems Engineering Capability Lead - Configuration Management

About you
You are a highly experienced Configuration Management professional who has an excellent understanding of applicable engineering and CM toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and software) and an ability to identify, develop and implement CM plans, processes and system improvements.
About the role
In collaboration with various stakeholders, projects and the Systems Engineering capability, the CM Capability Lead is responsible for leading the design and implementation of an integrated Configuration Management solution which encompasses our people, processes, tools and data to meet the current and future needs of Babcock Australasia.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of CM plans and procedures, ensuring that configuration baselines, technical artefacts and datasets are suitably maintained to meet business requirements
- Conduct complex technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for development of process and implementation improvements in CM
- Lead technical investigations and analysis, applying technical judgement from experience as part of decision making and recommendation
- Provide excellent advice to advice in CM to the wider Babcock as necessary to maximise knowledge transfer and build operational capability.
To be successful you will bring:

Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance

An accredited (under the Washington Accord) bachelor's degree in engineering or hold the recognised engineering qualifications to be eligible to obtain Professional Engineering category membership through a recognised body

Significant relevant experience in relatable technical / engineering roles

Relevant experience in managing applicable engineering function and / or technical delivery

Exposure to CM for software products (off-the-shelf or developmental), encompassing processes, tools and management environments

Demonstrated project management experience is advantageous / highly regarded

Previous experience within Defence or Defence Industry is advantageous / highly regarded
