Specialist E3 Engineer

 

About you

As an integral part of the wider JP9101 systems team, you will act as the dedicated subject matter expert on all technical aspects related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3). Confident in your role as a spokesperson for E3 capabilities, you will ensure that these requirements align with customer expectations, delivering results within agreed timeframes. Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance, demonstrating subject matter expertise and playing a pivotal role in achieving the JP9101 program objectives. About the role

You will conduct technical investigations and analyses to identify E3-related non-compliances, design issues, and potential shortfalls within the system. The role involves providing expertise to other engineering functions on E3 requirements, including risk assessments and the development of appropriate mitigation strategies. Your responsibilities will include conducting activities in alignment with program requirements and constraints, optimising opportunities for improvement, and effectively reviewing and approving technical E3 solutions. Additionally, you will ensure the implementation of accurate RF-related safety procedures.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • Relevant experience in Systems Engineering, ideally within a Defence environment
  • Relevant degree in Electrical or Electronic Systems Engineering essential
  • Excellent technical communication skills- written and verbal
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance, as defined by AGSVA guidelines.
