About the Role
As the NMSES Delivery Lead at Babcock, you will take on a pivotal technical leadership role in the design, implementation and management of the Network Monitoring and Security Enforcing Subsystem (NMSES) – a critical cyber security component of our mission systems.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of secure and robust solutions that align with wider subsystem design concepts and strategic security frameworks.
You will lead complex technical investigations, apply sound engineering judgement, and provide expert cyber security guidance across ICT domains.
With a focus on cyberworthiness, process improvement, and the development of sustainable and innovative solutions, your work will directly impact the safety, compliance, and resilience of our systems.
About You
You are a seasoned technical professional with deep expertise in cyber security engineering, particularly within complex ICT environments.
Your experience enables you to lead cross-disciplinary teams, facilitate high-level technical reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of secure system architectures.
You’re passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring compliance with engineering procedures, codes and statutory requirements.
As someone who values innovation, continuous learning and knowledge sharing, you are committed to driving both organisational capability and cyber resilience forward.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Understanding of Defence system engineering lifecycles and procedures.
- Extensive Cyber experience working within a Defence environment.
- Demonstrated previous experience in design and the deployment of Cyber security toolsets.
- General understanding of the Systems Engineering process.
- Previous success in Defence ICT projects including dealing with CoA stakeholders.
- Experience working within Defence Technical Regulatory Frameworks.
