About the role

The Senior Project Analyst will lead the creation and ongoing management of project control databases and project dashboards that measure the program health against contract and project baseline budgets. The role will oversee maintenance forecasts which align to the project schedules and will be responsible for all aspects of cost planning during planning phases, ensuring that costs and schedules align and contingencies in place to assist with EAC reporting.  The role will manage detailed variance analysis and ensure adequate processes are in place to ensure maintenance claims are processed in a timely manner.

You will have a strong, analytical and systematic mindset and pride yourself on your ability to find effective solutions to problems. You will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and bring great accuracy and attention to detail to the role. Your exceptional communication skills will allow you to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders at all levels. You will approach all tasks and with the upmost integrity and possess the following:


  • Australian citizen with Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain);
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering or finance highly desirable;
  • Experienced in Project Management and specifically Project Controls including data analytics;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including power query and power pivot, SQL or Power BI;
  • Experienced in project planning;
  • Previous experience within the Defence sector (preferred).

This position will work within our subsidiary Naval Ship Management (NSM), which provides asset management solutions to the Australian maritime sector. Working closely with supply chain partners, NSM provides cost-effective and responsive solutions that optimise the availability, capability, and seaworthiness of critical maritime assets. NSM supports assets across the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet – most notably the Anzac Class Frigates as a member of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) and the Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD), LHD Landing Craft (LLC) and associated assets as the Asset Class Prime Contractor.
