About the role


Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit a Stress Engineer based at our site in Warrington. You will join a team that has vast experience in stress engineering and provide professionally competent specialist services to our many clients.

Within this role you will undertake engineering conceptual and detailed calculations in the delivery of customer funded tasks and projects.This is a highly rewarding position working within a market leading nuclear engineering organisation. We support UK and international nuclear power stations with a range of services and strive to be best in class across our various contracts.


What do I need to be able to do the role?


You will need to have demonstrable experience in stress analysis covering a variety of tasks and experience in the application of codes and standard covering a range of equipment types. 


We would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:


  • A degree of competency in developing Finite Element models and undertaking linear analysis.
  • Competent in a range of classical stress analysis techniques for assessing mechanical and structural equipment.
  • The ability to identify load paths and recommend design changes to ensure fit for purpose design before detailed analysis.
  • Good communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines

What else do I need to know?


  • All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
  • The role will be based at Warrington
