Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit 2 Project Engineer’s based at our new offices in the Birchwood Business Park, Warrington. You will join a team that has vast experience in Nuclear Engineering and provide professionally competent specialist services to our many clients.


Using your experience you will provide expert project management and control skills within the framework of an approved management system to deliver defined small projects/work packages. The project tasks vary in complexity & risk within a nuclear environment, you will be in constant contact with our client ensuring safe delivery of projects within required guidelines.


This is a highly rewarding position working within a market leading nuclear engineering organisation. We support UK and international nuclear power stations with a range of services and strive to be best in class across our various contracts.


• Delivery of defined small projects/work packages and project tasks of varying complexity and risk to time, cost and QEH&S targets in compliance with the Cavendish Nuclear Management System or an agreed Joint Venture/Partnership Management System
• To support and promote the principles, processes and culture.
• Actively promote environmental awareness/considerations and sustainability through the small projects/work packages and project tasks delivery cycle
• Working with commercial representatives ensuring that all small projects/work packages and project tasks satisfy all businesses commercial requirements
• Strategic customer and stakeholder management externally and internally within the business consistent with the overall strategy of the business and delivery of component programmes and projects
• Contributes to the process of capturing, analysing, implementing and validating requirements for small projects/work packages and project tasks
• Contributes to the leadership, management and governance of the overall project by being accountable for small projects/work packages and project tasks meeting specified requirements
• Able to contribute to the development of a project risk and opportunity plan, can identify project risks for small projects/work packages/tasks undertaken
• Provides input to delivery programme baselines and contributes to the operation of project control processes (requirements capture, planning, cost, risk, trend analysis and change control)
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained to the required standards within the management system
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of the Cavendish Nuclear ‘’Win Business‘’ process and the Project Sanctioning process and provide support
• Able to manage small projects/work packages and project tasks in compliance with relevant contractual legal duties, rights and processes
• Provide input and feedback to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager in the continuing development and improvement of the Cavendish Management System comprising the Project Management Process to meet the business challenges
• Deputise for the Project Manager in agreed areas of responsibility as required


Qualifications & Requirements


• Degree level qualification or HND or HNC preferred; minimum level entry level L3 NVQ/Engineering Qualification OND or ONC in an Engineering



Successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
