Role Responsibilities

You will plan and safely deliver technical measurements, instrument commissioning, instrument calibrations and equipment testing in active and non-active plant environments. Measurements will be performed on various nuclear licensed sites around the UK and abroad as and when required. You will perform and assist with data analysis and technical reports and perform environmental sampling operations

Key Result Areas
All work should be conducted in a safe and efficient manner to ensure compliance with business, customer and regulatory requirements. Accurate, high-quality data and samples should be obtained with clear and concise reporting of results

You will require experience with Microsoft Office – including Word, Excel and Access. Also, some knowledge of the nuclear industry would be beneficial

You will require a full UK driving licence. Experience in a similar field-based role would be advantageous but not essential. You should also be a previous P4 pass holder or UK security clearance advantageous but not essential.

You will require the ability to work safely in unfamiliar environments.

You should also have A level or equivalent in Science and Maths, good verbal/written communication skills in English and good organisational skills.

You should be practically minded, with the desire to travel (but based primarily in West Cumbria). You will need the ability to work in a team taking direction and following written and verbal instructions and you should have no medical restrictions that prevent work in active areas / wearing of respirator / etc.
