The role
As a Project Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provide analytical, technical or controlling support to a specific area of the company in accordance with Cavendish Nuclear and Group policies and procedures.
Day-to-day, you’ll support the project, cost centre or department by delivering management information that is accurate, timely and reliable.
- Assist in developing other finance team members to maximise performance and financial awareness.
- Ensure that cost and income collection processes are adhered to in line with company contract management and financial procedures.
- Assist in the identification of profit and process improvement opportunities.
- Assist in the clear presentation of the financial state of the project, cost centre or department and the financial impact of management decisions and indecision.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, adaptable and can be delivered from various locations, and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office per week. This role requires regular travel to Preston and Cumbria sites.
Essential experience of the Project Accountant:
- Experience as a part qualified accountant with strong experience in a similar position.
- Good business/process analysis skills.
- Influencing and communication skills at all levels.
- Experience of dealing with senior management.
- High degree of computer literacy, including spreadsheet and MIS system skills.
Qualifications for the Project Accountant:
- Full or Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
Security Clearance
