About the Role:
Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit a Project Planner into our Planning team in Leicester, to provide project planning output across our programmes and workstreams reporting to  to a Senior Planning Engineer. The Portfolio comprises of projects for different power station clients and has an annual turnover of c£2M.


The successful candidate shall be accountable to the Senior Planning Engineer for the timely and accurate updating of all project plans within the portfolio and project reporting in-line with defined business cycle, including progress, resource, risk, KPI’s and LFE.


Key Responsibilities will include –
The development and management of Project Breakdown Structures (WBS / OBS/RBS/CBS), you will also with support develop and maintain the Project integrated schedule and carry out critical path analysis of the integrated schedule on a regular basis.


You will raise and communicate any potential risks within the schedule and ensure alignment between the integrated scheduling toolset and the companies financial and material demands toolset.


Provide regular status updates of the integrated schedule and the provision of metrics (eg milestone status/total float) and schedule analysis of the impact to the project.


When required, you will reschedule to take effect of the progress data and communicate the results to the project team and take corrective action where appropriate.


Ensure that the schedule is updated with agreed forecast dates and Estimates to Complete (ETC’s) and Estimates at Completion (EAC’s) are reported.


What do I need to do this role?
You should have recent project planning experience in a complex environment / business sector and experience in effectively applying schedule management techniques.


You will also require knowledge of using scheduling toolsets e.g. Primavera P6/Microsoft Project etc and ideally full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out.


Qualifications:
Ideally a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field or demonstrable career experience in a similar roles.
