Junior Planner/Cycle Planner

About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Junior Planner/Cycle Planner.

 

You’ll work side by side with the Senior Planner in order to plan out the station’s fuel route cycles. The role will also involve retrieving information and updating spreadsheets/Microsoft Project.

 

You’ll need to schedule work to ensure that all activities support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance within agreed safety and environmental standards and expectations.

 

Your other duties will consist of:
• Ensures that significant or critical work included in plans is identified to stake holders
• To act as a nuclear professional at all times and have a nuclear safety focus in all activities and responsibilities undertaken.
• Use operational experience (OE) e.g. OE information is used in preparation for all plant based activities as required in line with the stations corrective action programme.
• Schedule work to ensure that all activities support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance within agreed safety and environmental standards and expectations.
• Utilise System Aligned Work Week Windows to facilitate the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment.
• Ensures non completed work is dispositioned to the correct forward work window.
• Ensures that significant or critical work included in plans is identified to stake holders

 

There are excellent career prospects in this role with the chance of progressing into a Planner position and following on into a Project Coordinator/Project Manager role.

 

What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need to have a minimum GCSE pass in English, Maths and Science with an outlook to start a career in projects.

 

The right candidate will need to be organised, methodical, have a positive attitude and be keen to learn.

 

You must have Microsoft Office skills. If you have Microsoft Project/Oracle, this would beneficial, however training will be provided.

 

What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
