About the role
Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex project across the EDF reactor fleet. Cavendish Nuclear are a lifetime support partner to EDF Energy and have an enviable record of providing safe, cost effective engineering solutions.


The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering packages of work to maintain on site plant equipment. They will manage budgets (£5M - £10M), time and resource in order to meet client demands.
The successful candidate will be required to establish metrics and KPI’s for incorporation into regular reports to stakeholders on the status of the individual projects.
You will come from a highly regulated industry with proven experience of effectively delivering complex projects.

• Delivery of medium to low complexity projects to time, cost and QEH&S targets in compliance with the Cavendish Nuclear Management System or an agreed Joint Venture/Partnership Management System
• Establishment of a vision and proactive management to positively direct a team in the achievement of common goals
• Provides leadership, management and governance to ensure the project meets specified requirements
• Working with commercial representatives ensuring that all component projects and work packages satisfy all businesses commercial requirements
• Responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all team members and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
• Actively promote environmental awareness/considerations and sustainability through the project delivery cycle
• Strategic customer and stakeholder management externally and internally within the business consistent with the overall strategy of the business and delivery of component programmes and projects
• Defines delivery programme baselines and operates project control processes (requirements capture, planning, cost, risk, trend analysis and change control)
• Manages the development of a project risks and opportunities plan and instigates mitigation measures or other appropriate actions
• Provides governance to ensure that the organisations projects are aligned with the company objectives, processes and procedures


What do I need to do the role?

• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Relevant project management qualifications (APMP, PRINCE2 etc)
• ISOH Managing Safely; higher safety qualifications for site based work CITB Site Management Safety Training or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Able to demonstrate management experience across the complete project lifecycle or significant phases


What else do I need to know?
