Equine Assessor
Location: Knightsbridge and Windsor
Salary: £27,800 - £28,200 + London Weighting
Permanent, Full Time

 

Here at Babcock International we are recruiting for an Equine Assessor to join our Training Division. We are a trusted name across the training and apprenticeships market and are one of the UK’s largest and most reputable training providers.


You’ll be part of a large team of Apprenticeship Trainers and Assessors who provide training to numerous markets including Equine, Automotive, Active Leisure, Hospitality, Retail and Health and Social Care.


Using your experience within the Equine industry, you will assess and teach Soldiers for their Horse Care Apprenticeship with the Household Cavalry. 


You will visit the learners once a month and deliver teaching, learning and assessment towards their Apprenticeship. You will maintain documentation within the e-portfolio system, identify and engage with potential employers and learners and build on existing client relationships.


As well as being part of a business that support over 14,000 apprentices, we’ll also provide you with all the training that you need to become a fully qualified Apprentice Trainer and Assessor.

 
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Training and assessing soldiers up to Level 3 in Equine Care
• Initial assessment of learners, including identification of additional support needs
• Lesson planning, preparation and delivery
• Mentoring and support of learners


What do I need to do the role?
• Level 3 qualification in Horse Care
• Keen interest in assessing and apprenticeships
• Assessor qualification (desirable)
 
What else do I need to know?

• Babcock are one of the largest training providers nationally, managing a portfolio of some of the largest contracts
• You will be mainly based in Knightsbridge with some travel to Windsor
• All candidates must be eligible for the required Security Clearance
• 37 hour working week with flexible start and finish times
